Geocache Description:

Small cache celebrating Geocaching. Replaces the previous ? cache

Blimey- extremely muddy with lovely big puddles- best approached from the roadside! When the original ? cache was placed here this footpath was tree lined, and a lovely place to hide from warm sun. Then all the trees and hedges was hacked away, leaving great piles of mud and monstrous puddles. This has since settled, but it may be very muddy during wet spells of weather.

Geocaching in the form that we now know started in 2000 when GPS became available to civilian users. The first Geocache (called a GPS stash) was hidden in Washington in the USA. The first cache hide in the UK was (visit link) hidden in Berrylands in 2000. Unfortunately this cache has been archived :( . Currently the oldest cache in the UK is located in Scotland, near Ben More (nearest town Crianlarich): (visit link) . This was placed in 2000.

Although Geocaching.com is the largest listing site for Geocaches there are several others.

Happy Geocaching
