Garancsteto / The peak of Garancs Hill
It is situated to the south of Piliscsaba. The Garancsteto housing subdivision is situated on the top of it, the Garancsliget subdivision is on the scenic western slopes. In the past there used to be a military training field here, then it gave way to agricultural cultivation before they started to build houses here. The housing lots are close to nature and have beautiful views. To the North you can see Piliscsaba, to the West the city of Dorog and the Strazsa Hill, with the village of Gete in the distance. The Eastern view is Nagyszenas and the Pilis Hills, while the Tinnye Hills are to the South.
The area is typically hilly, bushy, with clusters of trees. The most common shrubs are blackthorn, hawthorn and rose hips. Forests have locust trees, oaks and turkey oaks. There are wonderful fields and pastures around with cows grazing . Combined with the Garancsi Hike you can take an enjoyable excursion of the area. You`d better stay on the trails because the underbrush can be sharp and thorny.

From Piliscsaba by car, by bike or on foot.
If you drive a car from Piliscsaba, take the turn to the village of Tinnye. A few meters from the Piliscsaba sign there is an asphalt road going up to the housing subdivision. You can park at points 1 or 2.
If you walk, take the road leading to the housing subdivision, and after a few meters take the dirt road on your left, then at point WP walk straight up to the top of the hill.
