J.O.E. caches are an easy way to pick up more finds while travelling and a nice fast Smiley for those that already live here. Some are micros, a few can hold a trackable, some are easy finds, and others a bit of devilment.
There is no access to the caches directly from the highway. Use Exit # given.
The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers. The name JOE means "Just Off the Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 81 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" cache series that was started in Memphis, TN by cgeek. The JOE caches are placed near exits and the hint is a dead giveaway to the cache location.
