Geocache Description:

This cache is not what I originally intended - it slipped from my fingertips and now it remains in spirit only - haunting cachers who try to find it.

The children's classic, "Where the Red Fern Grows," was written during the period when the author, W. Wilson Rawls, lived here in Idaho Falls, Idaho from 1958 to 1975. In Rawls' novel, Billy is challenged to find the Ghost Coon - a raccoon that disappears when treed and has never been caught. Billy accepts the challenge and Old Dan and Little Ann soon tree the Ghost Coon….but it disappears. Like the Ghost Coon, this cache has disappeared. If you read the book, you will have a good idea as to where this Ghost Coon Cache is hiding.

This invisible cache is not in the cemetery - but it is right at the gate.   Inside the cache is my Zombie Hunter geocoin.....and the One Ring (LOTR) for the FTF and some other stuff.  So.......if you can figure out a way to retrieve this one (I couldn't), you earn a LOT of stars!   I rated this a 5 & 3.5 - you will absolutely need some special tool or be a genius to retrieve it and I hope you are super tall or can balance extremely well. Remember, like the Ghost Coon, this cache does not want to be found.

THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE CEMETERY. THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER THE CEMETERY. DO NOT SEARCH GRAVES OR MONUMENTS. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE AREA AND OTHERS. COME BACK LATER SHOULD THERE BE ANY CEREMONY GOING ON (TRUST ME - THE CACHE WILL STILL BE THERE)

CONGRATS TO GARYTIB07 FOR THE UNBELIEVABLE RECOVERY AND FTF!
