100 Caches - A Brampton Event Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

DougyB: It's that time when, in every Event Cache's life, the inevitable "Archive" log has to be submitted. It has been a month since we hosted this event, but it just seems like yesterday. I won't forget seeing the smiles on people's faces as they chatted or won prizes, talking with the FTFs on my cache published the same day, and watching people (even the ones in their PJs) searching for caches in the area before and after the event.

One final "Thanks Eh!" to everyone who attended...you made this event great!

Geocache Description:

This sport we call Geocaching is wonderful.  Finding a cache makes me feel great, regardless of whether it is an LPC or a tricky puzzle or something that left me cursing until I found it (shout out to C&C).  This is all amazing, but there are 2 aspects of Geocaching that really make it shine for me:  socializing and hides (making them, placing them, and the pleasure of finder's logs).

One of the best parts of Geocaching is the people who do participate.  Meeting fellow cachers on the trails and at events, swapping stories, going caching together, or just sitting down for a coffee is a very special element of our sport.

And, just as enjoyable for me, is placing caches.  I revel in the preparation, the hunt for the right spot, the back-and-forth with the Reviewers, and the sweet sense of satisfaction whenever a cacher leaves a log about their adventures.

This even is about combining all of these elements.  This will be the first event cache that PKarin and I have hosted.  It is also my 100th placed cache.

We look forward to having a wing or two with cachers from Brampton, Georgetown, Mississauga, and just about anywhere else!
