Another enjoyable walk in wonderful Banner Forest. Please be kind to the environment when searching for this cache. No need to destroy the surroundings and no need to bushwhack if you use the appropriate approach from the trail to GZ. You will be looking for a dark green LocknLock which has a log book and a couple of trade items. BYOP – bring your own pen.
The cache name Tunnel Spur Cache is based upon the fact that the cache is hidden about six feet East off a trail by the name of Tunnel Spur in wonderful Banner Forest which has many enjoyable trails with interesting names. You can get to GZ from the main parking lot by taking the Croaking Frog trail off the main trail and following it to the Tunnel Spur trail. From the secondary parking, take the Mantis trail off the main trail and follow it to the Tunnel Spur trail. Or you can make your way to Banner Forest Walk and then continue along Bloviate going NW to Mantis and then Tunnel Spur. For trails you can load onto your GPS, go to Northwest Trails at (visit link). Be advised that reception is tricky at GZ so expect a bouncy GPS and a large error. In any event, enjoy your visit and your walk. Note: the US dollar coin is for the FTF.
