A new long term series. A theme that generates some (hopefully) cool stamp ideas. Some songs are true favorites. Some songs suggested a fun and/or carvable stamp. Some songs are chosen to match an existing stamp. I hope you enjoy this musical journey through the parks of The America's Birthplace Region. For me, this Gary Allan song evokes some memories from an orienteering event a decade ago. It was a weeklong festival in the north Georgia mountains. This song managed to hit the radio on every trip between my campsite and the various venues in the Helen-Cleveland metroplex. It rained every afternoon of the event. I caught a cold in the middle of the week and had a headlight blow out while I was behind a police car at a stoplight. I managed to have a fun time overall and have some decent runs too. But there were some moments when my mood was definitely suffering. I was surprised when I looked it up and found that this song only reached #12 on the charts. Thanks for visiting.
