This is #2 in a series of caches at Zanjero Park. This is a cool park to me, and I feel it needs more attention from the public. This park is a good place to go for a walk, with some paved and unpaved trails. Some of the trails can be fun to bike on. Also on the south side of the park there are some owl burrows next to Zanjero Park #2: You're Being Watched. The park is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Burrowing Owl is native to Arizona, and other deserts and dry grasslands in North and South America. Their diet consists mostly of insects and rodents. Burrows have been built here at Zanjero Park to try and keep them alive. These can be seen near the cache site. The owls often sit outside their burrows and stare at any passersby, so keep an eye out for them.
Easy cache at a great look-out point over the entire park.
Please replace container exactly as found.
Cache placed with the kind permission of Town of Gilbert Parks & Recreations Department.
