This geocahe is in a creek bed and is a fairly challenging trek. You can go up the creek, or you can include the bigger round trip of 10 kilometres along 4wd tracks that we did on the day, finishing in the creek bed and walking out downhill to your car.
I would NOT recommend this trek after any substantial rain because the creek could become impassable.
Drive in to the beginning of this walk along Convincing Ground Road in Karangi until you reach the end of the bitumen. Park there.
You will be crossing a corner of private property to get to this creek so approach anyone nearby to explain what you are doing.
The trek is hard but is worth the effort because you will see some of the best rain forest trees including giant strangler figs. On the day we made this trek we did a round trip of 10 kilometres in a clockwise direction along four wheel drive bush tracks before diving off the side of the track down into the creek bed where the geocache is hidden.
