Geocache Description:

The old Arcadia Cafe is situated on Portrush East Strand. It was built in the 1920s by local businessman, R.A. Chalmers. Through the 1920s-1950s it functioned as a thriving seaside cafe. In 1953 a ballroom extension was added and the venue attracted many great showbands. The ballroom was later demolished, although today the original building is still standing. The small bay in front of the cafe has been known as the Ladies Bathing Place since the 1800s.

The cache site over looks the Arcadia and East Strand Beach known as the White Rocks.  On a good day you can see the skerries and the Giants Causeway.

The cache is a small magentic screw top container which contains a log and pencil. Please replace back where found.  This is a very high muggle area in the summer months and great stealth will be required!!!
