Hancock golf course is the oldest golf course in Texas. It used to have 9 more holes, located where the HEB shopping center is now. It is a beautiful public green space in the middle of the city. We placed this geocache here to introduce you to a neat feature of the Hyde Park area. In addition, we've filled the cache with heirloom seeds (currently carrots and tomatoes), and some neat beads for you to take, or contribute to. This cache is on the outskirts of the course so you shouldn't have to worry about golf balls, but there is a lot of traffic.
If you have interesting seeds, or beads that you would like to contribute, please do.
It is a small twist-top plastic container, that has been painted brown. There is a pen, a log book, and many other goodies.
