Geocache Description:

The Cache is NOT at the given coordinates, but they should give you a good idea of where to park.

In 1999, the Atlanta Thrashers played their first game in the National Hockey League.  We really enjoyed going to the games, and were heartbroken when they moved to Canada in 2011.  This cache is dedicated to the Thrashers and their brief run here in Atlanta.  In order to find this cache, you'll have to do a little homework on the history of the Atlanta Thrashers.

Your latitude clues:  How many games did the Thrashers win in the 2003-2004 season?  In 1999, Patrik Stefan was the Thrashers' first ever draft pick...How many points (goals plus assists) did he score in his rookie season (1999-2000)?  One of the goalies in the early history of the Atlanta was named Damian Rhodes.  How many goals did he allow in the 2000-2001 season?

Your longitude clues: Two of the best players in the history of the Thrashers were Marian Hossa and Ilya Kovalchuk.  Figure out how many goals they scored combined in the 2006-2007 season and subtract one from that number.  Dany Heatley came to the Thrashers from the University of Wisconsin.  Figure out what jersey number he wore while he was with the Thrashers and subtract 5 from that number.  Figure out the total number of games that the Thrashers won during their existance in Atlanta.  Add 521 to that number,

Good Luck...Keep your stick on the ice, and stay out of the penalty box!
