This cache is located in Overlook Park in White Rock.
This cache is located in White Rock’s greatest treasure, Overlook Park. The park has something for everyone: baseball fields, soccer fields, a field for flying model airplanes, an RC (radio-controlled) model car park, picnic areas, an overlook to the vast open spaces in New Mexico (we have met Santa Fe tour guides who bring groups here to see this view), trails (including the Blue Dot Trail, which leads to the shores of the Rio Grande or connects to the Red Dot Trail for a loop hike), geocaches, a children’s play area, a dog park, and even a waterfall (see if you can find it).
The mountains that you see from the cache are called Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) because they often turn reddish pink at sunset.
Bring a writing instrument. There is an assist in the cache for removing the log. Please make sure this device is in the container when you replace it.
Because there is a steep drop off near the cache, be sure to keep children in check.
There is plenty of parking near the cache, and access is very easy. Bring a picnic, and enjoy more than a short visit to Overlook Park, enjoy a Breath of Fresh Air.
