Kilbarry Wood is home to both mature trees and recent plantations. You will find fine examples of oak, beech, sycamore, birch, larch and Scots pine along your walk. The route is also peppered with a number of benches, picnic tables and viewing platforms, giving you ample opportunity to pause and soak in the glorious views.
The cache is placed by one of the viewing platforms, and is a small plastic container which fits in well with its surrounds.
