Hang Loose - Relax, take it easy. This expression dates from the mid-1900s and became very popular during the hippie era of the 1960s. R.S. Parker had it in Effective Decisions (1977), “It is a popular philosophy today to ‘hand loose, trust your feelings, do what you really want to do.’”
