Geocache Description:

The Mayor's Walk is dedicated to Mercer Lee Scroggs, the honorary Mayor of Brasstown. He was one of ten children and his family donated much of the land for the John C. Campbell Folk School. Fredo, his father, was locally known as a "rock hound" and several of his rock specimens are housed in the Smithsonian. Mercer was very active in the Brasstown community and was known for keeping everything "goin' and a'stirring" and lived on this property.

! Another bit of trivia - Mercer's family were the former owners at this location.
