Geocache Description:

This particular cache is located along the newest trail within Magnolia Springs State Park. Currently the trail has no official name, but we're calling it "Lake View" trail for now since it goes by the lake. The best official parking area will be near the lake, making the trip to the cache about one-third of a mile.

You will be looking for a small size lock-n-lock.

Please park in the designated parking area, as indicated in the parking coordinates. The park hours are 7 AM until 10 PM daily. Unless otherwise stated, the trails are closed after dark.

This cache has been placed with permission of the park manager.

Please note that there is a $5 entry fee to enter the park, unless you have a park pass.

While visiting, please be sure to follow all rules set forth by the State Park.

What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt, in which a geocacher hunts for a hidden container - called a geocache - using a GPS device. Once the geocache is located, the geocacher signs the log and replaces the container as found. The geocacher then shares his/her adventure online at www.geocaching.com. Currently, there are over two million active geocaches hidden throughout the world!

Trade Items in Geocaches:
Some geocaches will contain trade items or trinkets, also known as swag. If you see something that you would like, you are welcome to trade for it. When trading, please remember to trade something of equal or higher value.

Disclaimer to New Geocachers:
If you are new to geocaching, please take a few moments to read through this disclaimer. We wish to have the game of geocaching remain pleasant for all those who wish to participate. Please do not vandalize or take geocache containers. Also, after you have located the container and signed the log, please take care to replace it as you have found it. Sometimes it can be tempting to place the container in a slightly different location. However, the cache owner chose the cache location for a reason. Also when replacing it, please be sure the container is concealed. This helps prevent the cache from being noticed by Muggles - those who do not geocache. What are trackables?
There are additional items sometimes found within a geocache known as trackables. These items come in all shapes and sizes. All of them will have some sort of tracking number on them - usually six digits. They can range from coins, to toys with a special dog tag, or just a plan tracking tag. Some of these items have special missions, and others will just want to travel from cache to cache. It is permissible to remove these items from a cache only if you intend to drop them into another cache within a timely manner - generally within a couple of weeks. If you remove a trackable, you do not have to leave a trade item (in most cases). For more information on trackables, please visit www.geocaching.com/track
