Geocache Description:

Take a moment to learn about the protected fauna and flora who live nearby and then find a seat in the grass in the middle of a reconstructed moat. Try to imagine life here in Saxon or early Medieval times. Note if you have children with you, that the moat is a few feet deep in places.

This is an SSSI site and also of historical significance, please respect our green spaces. No pond dipping. It should be pretty quiet all around you, since you are well away from the hustle and bustle of the Cottenham High street, peaceful. A notice board nearby will tell you more about this special site.

A tin camouflaged somewhat, and covered by Ivy can be found if you have the right spot. Which you should find easily enough we think.  It's not inside the moat itself at all, but is pretty close to it; even though that clue won't narrow it down much. Note if you have children with you, that the moat is a few feet deep in places.
