Geocache Description:

The TV show Parks and Recreation is based on the life guards in El Segundo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1266020/trivia). This great town is filled with a number small parks, and most of those parks have caches. Freedom Park seemed like it needed one, so we decided to hide our first cache here. We hope you enjoy it.

The original container got muggled (savages) in January 2015 and has been replaced by a standard ammo box. Bring your own pen...but you already knew that.

The park has plenty of street parking and this should be an easy park and grab. While you are here, let the kids or dogs run wild in the grass or maybe hit some of the excercise stations. The beach isn't far away and there are plenty of other caches nearby. Cache has lots of room for trackables and seems to attract a lot of LAX TB traffic.

FTF has a choice from a USB flash drive, a couple plastic ninjas, some USC swag, a stopwatch, and a trackable that we created in honor of our friend D-Day who is a board member of Military Missions in Action, a nonprofit that helps disabled veterans. It seemed appropriate that Freedom Park be the first stop for this trackable.
