The Kamthieng Flower Market (ตลาดคำเที่ยง) is the cities' largest flower market and garden center. While not the most typical venue for most visiting geocachers, the market is pretty interesting and worth exploring... if not only to retrieve this cache.
The Kamthieng market is huge! It's not quite as large - or chaotic - as Bangkok's infamous Chatuchak market. But it is a fun place to visit. Here you'll find just about any kind of tropical plant you can think of: fully grown trees, potted herbs, rare collector orchids, and temperate flowers such as cacti, lilies and lotuses. The market is somewhat like a potted-plant version of a botanical garden and interesting to explore even if you don’t list gardening as one of your hobbies.
