Mariánskolázeňská plochá dráha je jedinou dlouhou plochou dráhou v České republice.
Dráha byla postavena za první republiky v roce 1922 a přinesla nový akcent do sportovního života města. Plochá dráha s délkou 1000 metrů byla v rukou finančního konsorcia – triumvirátu Dr.Kerber – Procházka - ředitel Langen. Při dráze byly postaveny stáje se 120 boxy pro závodní koně. Konaly se tu populární závody chrtů a koní, později sloužila také pro motocykly a malé automobily. Každá akce byla proměsto velkou událostí.
Od roku 1958 do roku 2008 se zde odjelo 28 x mistrovství světa a 2 x mistrovství Evropy.
V Mariánských Lázních je jediná dlouhá plochá dráha v České republice. Od roku 2007 lázeňský okruh navázal na tradici pořádání seriálu mistrovství světa, který se zde jel poprvé v roce 1972.
Obnovení tradice pořádání MS je zásluhou malé party nadšenců – malé v porovnání s velikostí závodu – která se o „reinkarnaci“ tohoto sportu u nás zasloužila.

Die Trabrennbahn wurde im Jahr 1922 gebaut und hat ein neues Akzent in das Sportleben der Stadt gebracht. Neben der Bahn wurden Ställe mit 120 Boxen für Rennpferde gebaut. Es fanden hier beliebte Windhund- und Pferderennen statt, später wurde die Bahn für Motorräder und kleine Autos verwendet. Jede Veranstaltung war für die Stadt ein grosses Ereignis.
In Marienbad gibt es die einzige lange Motocrossbahn in der Tschechischen Republik. Im 1972 fand hier die erste Weltmeisterschaft statt und im 2007 hat man an diese Tradition der sog. Kurrunde angeknüpft.

The speedway track was originally built for horse and dog racing in 1922 and brought a new interest into the sports life of the town. The track also during this early time had stables on site for more than 120 horses. Later, the speedway track was used for motorcycle and small car racing.Every meeting was a big event for this small town.
The Mariánské Lázně long speedway track is the only one in the Czech Republic. The track is one of the hosts tracks of the world speedway championships and held its first of these championship meetings in 1972 which was interrupted some years later.
