We are gathered here today to pay our respects to Thrash (1999-2011), the official mascot of the Atlanta Thrashers hockey team. Though the team has now moved on to Winnipeg (boo, hiss, boo), the faithful still remember watching Thrash fly down from the rafters of Philips Arena to greet the fans. This cache is fittingly placed here in his honor.
There is ample parking all around the park, which is open from 8 am until 10 pm. If you have the time, be sure to walk around and enjoy the sites. Although there are "No Pets Allowed" signs up all around the park, there are also doggie waste disposal stations located inside - so you make the call...
