Geocache Description:

••• This is a Challenge Cache - Not a Park and Grab •••

This is part of a series of Zip Code Challenge caches placed in the Hinds County area. They are here to challenge cachers physically, mentally and geographically with some specific caching achievement requirements prior to signing the log. All unsatisfied and unfulfilled log entries will be promptly deleted for failing to meet those challenge rules and requirements.

••• 39157 Challenge Guidelines •••

The challenge associated with this cache requires you to have found or to find caches equaling the individual five numbers of the zip code in any order on any five days over your caching history. All finds must be within the actual boundaries of the zip code or within a 5-mile radius of the center of the zip code.

Please do not seek and sign this log unless you have achieved the challenge requirements. Unsatisfied, unfulfilled and unsubstantiated log entries will be deleted for failing to meet the challenge rules stated below.

• It is highly encouraged that you read the entire cache description before embarking on your journey.

• This is a CHALLENGE cache. You cannot claim this cache unless you have completed the required challenge described below.

• Yes, you must satisfy the requirements for the challenge. The difficulty reflects the exacting requirements built within the challenge. The terrain reflects the actual terrain of the hide.

• This find does NOT count towards the challenge.

• Caches you have previously found count.

• Caches you OWN do not count.

• The area and boundary for this zip code is shown in the image below (shown in red) For simplicity sake, uniformity, and objectivity you can also interpret the zip code boundary area to be a five mile radius from the geographic center of the zip code as calculated by the Find a Geocache (by Postal Code) feature on the Geocaching Hide & Seek a Cache page (shown in green). Using this method for 39157 shows 101 cache hides at the time of publication.

39157 Map

Okay, let's start with the challenge. Take this zip code, segment it into its five numbers, and accomplish a sufficient numbers of finds equal to each of the numbers of the zip code within the zip code boundary in any five days before claiming this cache challenge as found.

Let’s break it down....segmenting the zip code to its individual numbers, 3-9-1-5-7, it involves having found or finding caches totaling each of the numbers of the zip code on a daily basis within the zip code boundary in any five days over your caching history prior to recording this find: 3 in the zip code on one day of your search, then 9 caches on any other day, 1 on any other day, 5 on any other day, and then 7 on a different day. Only then can you legitimately sign and log this challenge as a find.

If not yet clear, then please read the more detailed guidelines below.

• DAY 1 (Number 3) - You must, on any one day of your cache history, record as having found or find 3 caches 3 within the 39157 zip code boundary.

• DAY 2 (Number 9) - You must, on another day, find or have found 9 caches within the zip code boundary.

• DAY 3 (Number 1) - You must, on another day, find or have found 1 cache within the zip code boundary.

• DAY 4 (Number 5) - You must, on another day, find 5 caches within the zip code boundary.

• DAY 5 (Number 7) - You must, on another day, find 7 caches within the zip code boundary.

• Once all daily required caches have been or are found, then search, find, sign and log this challenge cache as a find.

That's it, that's how to qualify for this one. If you have other geocaching buddies with you when you find the cache, they may not claim it unless they also qualify for the challenge.

You can verify your qualification by one of the methods below. The minimum I need to see are the Geocache ID codes and the dates you found them.

• You can email me your list within a couple days of posting your find entry log.

• You can post a public bookmark list with the caches you are using to qualify, including dates you found them in the description.

• You may list all the qualifying caches including the GC code and date you found them and attach it to your "found" log as an image.

• Or you can save/print your “Found It” entries on Your Geocaching Logs (Filtered by Log Type) page in an image file and post it to your on-line log entry. Be careful using this validation procedure, because ALL yours finds will be shown, and if you did additional geocaching I may not be able to distinguish between the caches that qualify for this challenge and your other caches that you found the same day outside the boundaries of this challenge.

I consider most geocachers as hobbyists with integrity and as fun-loving folks who voluntarily accept the rules of the game. With this in mind I'm certainly not going to scrutinize every entry to the n'th detail, but know that I will occasionally and randomly check the stats of the information provided by those who show this cache as found. Therefore I reserve the right to delete a find entry if the rules for this Challenge Cache have not been followed.

One final note. The cache location was meant to be an easy find. It is near geographical center of the 39157 zip code. It is hidden publicly and should only take a few minutes to find it. As always, please replace and conceal from curious eyes once found to keep this cache in play. This cache is hidden close to the Ridgeland trail access to the Natchez Trace Scenic Trail at the south end of Sunnybrook Road off Old Agency Road (easy access to I-55). Easy, free, legal parking behind the gas station, whether you are just here as a geocacher, a trail user, or both. The cache is not within the Natchez Trace Parkway boundary or on National Park Service property, but very close.
