Sa Farinera (1880-1915)
Antiguo edificio "Sa Farinera " de 365 ventanas y siete plantas del que actualmente sólo quedan la gran chimenea y el sótano de las "Bodegas Suau".

Sa Farinera:
En 1880 la empresa "Harinera Mallorquina" o "Harinera Balear", hizo construir al arquitecto Eusebio Estada una gran fábrica en la avenida principal del pueblo de "Pont d'Inca". Con sus siete plantas se convirtió en el edificio más alto de la Isla y tenía como curiosidad tantas ventanas como días tiene el año: 365.
La empresa se dedicaba al transporte de harinas, cereales, pipas de vino (cubas de vino). Cobró gran importancia cuando compró dos embarcaciones llamadas "Cataluña" y "Balear" para exportar a Francia vino debido a la afectación de la filoxera en ese país. La causa de su auge fue la misma que la de su quiebra en 1895 cuando la filoxera afecto Mallorca.
El edificio fue el más alto de la isla que fue derruido en 1915 permaneciendo en pie su característica chimenea, que a día de hoy se eleva sobre el resto de edificios condicionados en su altura por la proximidad del aeródromo. En la actualidad los solares están ocupados por la "Bodega Suau" y "Helados La Menorquina" que se encuentran en los solares de la antigua Sa Farinera.

In 1880 the company Harinera Mallorquina or Harinera Balear had the architect Eusebio Estada build a large factory on the main street of the town of Pont d' Inca. With its seven floors it became the tallest building in the island; as a curiosity it had as many windows as days are in the year: 365.
The company was engaged in the transportation of flour, cereals and pipes of wine (wine vats). It became a prominent company when they bought two boats called "Catalonia" and "Balearic" to export wine to France due to the apparition of a plague of phylloxera in that country. Ironically, the cause of the boom of the company was the same as the cause of its bankruptcy in 1895 when phylloxera appeared in Mallorca.
The building was the tallest of the island, and was demolished in 1915, only remaining the chimney which nowadays rises above the surrounding buildings as they can't go higher due to the proximity of the airfield. Currently, the sites are occupied by the Bodega Suau and Helados La Menorquina, found in the old plots of Sa Farinera.
