Geocache Description:

This view point overlooks the entrance to Shabhala.

As viewpoints go this is a bit of a mindblower!

Follow the clifftops north from the road end car park, it's all up hill as you travell away from the car. What you will notice is the further you travel from the car the bigger your surrounds become.

This cache is situated at the high point of the coast line and overlooks a huge stretch of very dramatic coast line from The Sturral Headland to the south to Glenlough Bay to the North. What lives below you is a collection of the most outrageous sea stacks in Ireland, including Tormore Island, Ireland's highest sea stack. The name of the cache is the 100 meter high sharks fin sea stack below and translates to "Hill of the Sea."

In the glen below there lives the most remote house in Ireland, it's in Glenlough Bay and is most famous for it former well known resident, Dylan Thomas. Dylan Thomas Film

This hike requires suitable footwear and rain proof attire.

The cache is a medium container and contains a pencil, notepad and sharpener. The last few meters down to the cache a a wee bit steep but the view is worth the carefull steps.
