This series of caches has been placed for the March 2014 Bicester And District (BAD) Geocaching Group Event in Marsh Gibbon. Obviously MG stands for Marsh Gibbon but also The MG Car Company Limited was a British sports car manufacturer founded in the 1920s and the cars were made in Oxford (Now the BMW Mini plant). This series of caches are named after some of those iconic cars.
This cache is at Stump Well, a medieval well built in local limestone. It covers a mineral spring, which has long supplied water to properties in the village. It continues to do so today, providing one of the key ingredients to the local Oxfordshire Ales brewery.
