Bienvenue donc à Montech, commune française du Tarn-et-Garonne, qui prit réellement forme avec la construction d’un village fortifié en 1134.
Vous vous trouvez à mi chemin entre la mer Méditerranée et l'océan Atlantique.
Au fil de l'eau vous voguerez entre lac et canal latéral de la Garonne durant environ 2,5 Km aller retour.
Ce canal de petit gabarit, long de 193 Km et datant du 19e siècle relie Toulouse à Castets-en-dorthe (Gironde) près de Bordeaux.
Il est l'indispensable prolongement du canal du Midi qui relie la Méditerranée à Toulouse. L'ensemble forme le canal des deux mers qui relie la mer Méditerranée à l'océan Atlantique. Il comporte 64 écluses.
Peut être aurez vous la chance d'en voir fonctionner une.

Well, welcome to Montech, a french city of Tarn-et-Garonne, which really took shape as a fortified village in 1134.
You find yourself between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic ocean.
Along the water you will walk between the lake and the Garonne side canal during around 2,5 Km round trip.
This small canal is 193 Km long and was build during the 19th century. It connects Toulouse to Castets-en-dorthe (Gironde) near Bordeaux.
It's the continuation of the Midi canal which connects qui relie the Mediterranean Sea to Toulouse. The whole piece is the 2 seas canal which connects qui the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic ocean. There are 64 locks along this canal.
Maybe you will be lucky enough to see a boat using it.
