Geocache Description:

Christopher’s Surprise Birthday Cache #4

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. You must answer six questions correctly to get the coordinates to the cache!

March second is Christopher’s birthday (I won’t say what age – but feel free to ask him :-D). I’ve been racking my brain since before Christmas about what to get him, but every time I’ve come up blank. Now its crunch time and I still have no gift. He has been a light in my life for many years, I have to figure something out! What do I get for him that he will love and remember? Something unique that no one else has gotten him? How about a cache search set-up just for him?? Perfect!

So, this is Christopher’s (my “GeoLove”) birthday present. This is a series of 7 caches, each of the first six  puzzle caches will have a piece of the coordinates for the final (order of the caches will matter!). All of the questions within the puzzle caches will also have to do with his favorite things. My goal is for each cache to (hopefully) be a little challenging, but not impossible. I hope you enjoy!

Update 3/2/14: This cache series had an ulterior motive beyond just giving Chris a birthday present. The goal of it was to give him something to do that would keep him out of the house until 5/5:30 because I also planned a surprise birthday party for him. While we were out geocaching, Magik_Sack Mom, Micro, and Nano all set up the house for people to come over and celebrate the day with us. We started at the Virginia Court of Appeals (#6), then went on to the oceanfront (#1), and circled back towards home to South Side Harley (#5). Once he found the one at Harley, I panicked. He was finding them too quickly. So I "convinced" him to go drool over the motorcycles for a little while, trying to slow him down. I managed to slow him down for about 45 minutes, and then off we went again. We went to Care-A-Lot (#4) and thankfully that stumped him for a while. But he did, finally, have success and we were off to Buffalo Wild Wings (#3) after a quick drive-through snack stop. This was another one that stumped him! Whew! Thank goodness! Plus the muggle factor on a lovely Saturday afternoon was through the roof. Once we were able to move our GeoMigrater to the spot right next to GZ he was able to make a thorough search and finally make the grab. Then off to Woodstock Park (#2), which I was worried about because Immodium had just DNFed it (I was concerned it had already been mugged). When we arrived AllstarSS was already on the hunt so Chris joined in, and once I confirmed it was, in fact, still in play they found it in short order. Trying to slow him down again, as we still had nearly 2 hours we needed to kill, I suggested we clear out the park of the few caches we'd missed. Thankfully that took the perfect amount of time and we were off to the final stage. His GPS did get a little bounce, but the final is meant to be a pretty simple grab so it didn't take much of a search before he spotted it. Within the final was a card telling him that there was a party waiting for him at the house, and we arrived to a beautifully decorated space. I hope that this is an enjoyable series for you, as it was a wonderful experience for us! And I want to give me deepest gratitude to Magik_Sack and family as well as the cache reviewer for helping me get all of this together! I couldn't have managed it without you!!

Because I planted this cache as a distraction for WB6Nvy, OF COURSE he was likely going to be the FTF on them. Because of that, I consider the second finder a CO-FTF. That said: ** Congrats to AllStarSS, TheCuppFamily, & WB6Nvy for the FTF!! **

Chris has a pretty decent obsession with bulldogs. This has culminated in us getting a Victorian Bulldog we’ve named Kaeden (or SquatSniffer the GeoPup) who lives to drive me bonkers, chewing up only left shoes and eating toilette paper off the roll as if it was spaghetti. So not funny… stop laughing -_-
