Welcome to the Riyadh ("The Gardens") Saudi Arabia's capital is the capital and largest city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is also the capital of Riyadh Province, and belongs to the historical regions of Najd and Al-Yamama. It is situated in the center of the Arabian Peninsula on a large plateau, and is home to 5,254,560 people, and the urban center of a region with a population of close to 7 million people.
As the largest airport to the biggest city in the Kingdom, I figured it could use a Travel Bug Hotel.
This cache was placed to facilitate the exchange of travel bugs and coins as geocachers pass through the area enroute to other countries around the world. The cache itself is a water-tight container with a log and room for a few travel bugs or coins and additional swag. I look forward to seeing where all the visitors are from and tracking the progress of tags that pass through.
As this is a high traffic area make sure you pull well off the road. During placement several patrol cars rolled by however, no one stopped. The are use to individuals parking all along this road waiting to complete airport pick-ups.
