Geocache Description:

Part of the Maker Madness series, a worldwide series of events that celebrates great cache hiders of the geocaching world. Event attendees will receive a special souvenir for attending this event.

This is a Bring Your Own Food and Bring Your Own Chair event. We'll meet at City View Park near the picnic tables close to the basketball court. Event starts at 3pm. Come and join us for some fun, laughter, and talk about some great caches in the area.

So... WHO IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE CACHE MAKER?

Well...considering the fact that different Makers have different hiding techniques, it's hard to say if there's one that really tops them all.

But...with the help of favorite points, we have created a bracket of 32 Makers (similar to a March Madness bracket) to help narrow it down. The Makers were seeded by summing the total number of favorite points of each cache owner's top 5 caches.

Note: You will need to download (arrow in the upper left corner of the google docs page) the file in order to view the whole bracket. Per groundspeak guidelines, I must post this notice: "Alert: You are about to download a file that contains further details needed to view the bracket. As the cache owner, I represent that this file is safe to download although it has not been checked by Groundspeak or by the reviewer for possible malicious content. Download this file at your own risk."

The minimum requirement for a cache Maker to be placed in this bracket is to currently reside in the Hampton Roads area and they need to have placed at least 5 caches. However, we also factored in other things, such as being the owner of a Hidey Award Nominee, to be placed in the bracket. Please do not take anything personally if you did not make the bracket.

Members of the GCHR Facebook Page will vote on each individual match up, and the winner of each match up will move on in the tournament. The Final Two will then be voted upon at this event. (Should there be a tie, a game of HORSE will decide the ultimate Maker)

We hope to see you there!

Congratulations steve-n-kim on being the winners of the Maker Madness Tournament!
