Geocache Description:

This is a Puzzle cache and a Multi cache (in one) on Gordon’s Hill.

To locate the cache you will need either:
      a smart phone with email,
to phone a friend to send an email for you
or to make a trip back to Gordon’s Hill later to retrieve the cache.

You are almost guaranteed to see many wallabies and other macropods on your way to the waypoints and GZ.

To solve the puzzle you need to work out the coordinates of twelve waypoints. S42° and E147° are a given. You need to work out the rest.

Each waypoint is represented in the graphic below. There are no secret codes or cryptographic ciphers.

At each waypoint location you will find an object – “X” marks the spot. Once you have found one of the objects you will know exactly what you are looking for at the other waypoints. Each waypoint should be clearly visible at ground level without moving anything.

You need to record the waypoint number and the letter inscribed on the bottom of each waypoint. Where two letters could be easily confused (such as N and Z), the letter will be underlined.

Once you have all the letters, you need to send an email to: dna.cache.puzzles@gmail.com

The body of the email must contain each of the letters you found at each waypoint in the correct order and without any spaces. It doesn’t matter if you use uppercase or lowercase. e.g. if the letters in the correct order are HQABVXUIMP you should put HQABVXUIMP or hqabvxuimp in the email. It doesn’t matter if there are extra words in your email.

You will receive an automatic reply within a few minutes giving you the coordinates for GZ or a message telling you to try again.

This cache was checked by the owner and updated in February 2026. Some of the waypoints have changed significantly in the last fourteen years. The hints have been updated to reflect those changes and photos of each waypoint added to make finding them easier. Some of the waypoints may be a few metres out but the photos should make them easier to locate.

When you have solved the puzzles, you can obtain a copy of a PDF file which contains waypoint coordinates, clues, photos, parking coordinates, a map of Gordons Hill and a few tips.
Send an email to: dna.cache.puzzles@gmail.com

The body of the email must contain the last digit of each of the twelve waypoint coordinates in the correct order and without any spaces. It doesn’t matter if there are extra words in your email.
e.g. If WP1 is at S42 22.333 E147 33.456 then the first digit will be 6

You will receive an automatic reply within a few minutes with a link to the PDF or a message telling you to try again.
