Poiana Horea has it’s magic. Not only because of the various scenery, but also because of the fact that one there, you travel back in time: people plow the land like the ancient Egyptians 2000 years ago, they live out of what the land offers them. In this case: wood.

Our friends, Glytz and Melinda have a weekend house in the proximity. We come here several times a year, and enjoy the surroundings.

People here are called moți. Hard-working, simple people that most of the time have more common sense and humanity than people from the cities. They were the one who found the downed airplane that crashed in January 2014 only some 7 kilometers from this location…

Once you’re here, go up to the top of the hill (simply continue the road upwards) and enjoy the beautiful view of the countryside on the Moți Land/Țara Moților.
