Geocache Description:

This two-stage multi-cache is easy for new cachers and cachers who haven't done many multi-caches. You will not have to travel very far between the two stages. Congratulations to turbobadgers for FTF! Bring your own pen/pencil.

There is no container at the posted coordinates, but you will find a pair of telephone/electrical poles. Ignore the shorter and older one, and focus on the newer and taller one. If there is only one pole, focus on that pole.

Two poles — look at the one on the right

There are several numbers on the pole. You will use these to find the coordinates for the next stage. Once you have found these coordinates, you should add a waypoint to your GPS that will lead you to the final stage.

Here is an edited image of the pole numbers, replaced with letters. Use this key to solve the puzzle below.

The coordinates for the final stage are “N 37 53.TUV, W 122 17.XYZ” where:

  • T = F
  • U = D+H
  • V = H–I
  • X = A
  • Y = B+C
  • Z = F–(E*G)

You can know that your coordinates are correct if the sum of the six numbers (T-Z) is 28.

Substitute these numbers into the coordinates provided above to find the coordinates of the final stage. The final stage is a micro-sized container (film canister or smaller). The search for the final stage will be just like the search for a normal Traditional Cache.

Good luck!
