Journey down from pretentious Princeville, wait your turn to cross the lovely Hanalei.

Stop and experience the attractions of town, (or save this for the return trip). As you begin your journey around the great bay, start to count the classic one-way bridges, and the several tsunami-created flood valleys. These areas are difficult to explore, but amazing records of the power of the sea.
Now as the road rises onto the side of the mountain, you may feel safer, or less so, depending on whether heights or ocean excess is your greater phobia.
At the first narrow turn-out past the end of the bay, there is a place where you can experience both! Stop and view the mighty waves that crash into the sheer shoreline on the right, or walk down the trail to watch as they collapse upon and churn the pocket of golden sand, to the left.
To get. To GZ, from the roadside parking, stroll out onto the narrow headland until you dare not go farther. That's where you may (or may not) find the small cache.
Enjoy your visit to this amazing spot!
