This road used to be the main highway between Halifax and Boston. They say you could tell every time a load of fish went by heading for Boston, you could smell it as it went by. The building across the road and a little to your left used to be a BA gas station and a garage. Weeden Tabor was the owner. I remember my father would bring his 1930 McLaughlin Buick over here for any major repairs. Weeden would be repairing cars here while his wife would be running the other business up stairs where they lived. (Bootlegging)
