After 4 or 5 years of inaction, several individuals from the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference (myself included) spent the better part of the fall of 2013 and the winter of 2014 getting this trail back in working order. Please come and visit our trail. The blue dot makes a loop starting at Washington Avenue trail head (near the LIE underpass), winds through Manetto Hills Park, back to Washington Avenue, continues across Washington down the south side of the Northern State Parkway until it reaches our Nassau Suffolk Trail. Follow the N-S south until you come back to Washington Avenue. Total is about four miles.
