This event, in keeping with the souvenir theme, is to honor our local geocache makers, of which there are many!
The event will take place at the Tucson Tennis and Racquet Club (TRC), at Ramada 4. The coordinates listed are for the front desk. You do NOT have to be a member of the TRC to attend, and no fee will be charged. A light lunch will be served, with lemonade. (We cannot bring in outside food (except a cake, which we will have!) You may order beverages from the bar.)
We will have an activity to honor our COs.There will be recognition for cache makers: most creative/ fun, most puzzling, most event-ful, most hidden, and who has the oldest hide. These will be awarded to those attending the event. You must be present to win!
There will be some new caches published the day of the event. We are on a night cache kick so you will have to put up with this. All who find these on the same day as the event can claim FTF for these new caches.
Each person attending please BRING a ready -to-go geocache container with trinkets and logbook, for the raffle drawing. You can bring more than one if you wish. You get one raffle ticket for each geocache container you bring. We will be raffling off a few envelopes with geocache coordinates in them, like we did at our Cachemas event.
There will be trackables exchange bins. Please log your trackables BEFORE or WHEN you log your "attended" log. That way they are all accounted for and we don't have to chew our nails over them.
Contact us through our profile with questions. We promise not to move the event all over town this time. Please log a "will attend" ASAP as we need a head count a few days prior.
Looking forward to seeing you all! Please come even if you already have the souvenir! :)
NOTE: Directly adjacent to the ramada are two pickleball courts. They have extra paddles so we can play! (If you have never played, pickleball is both easy and fun!) Nearby there is also a basketball court, volleyball court, and swimming pool. You are welcome to enjoy these as well as the pool until 3:00pm.
