Parking is available across from the Anglesea shopping area, next to a skate park and children's playground and BBQ, not far from another cache, while there are paddle boats just across the river. Along the path you will pass FairyLand and then the Anglesea River Saltmarsh, home in summer to Latham's Snipe (photos welcomed). The Snipe makes its way all the way from Siberia to join the campers in the adjacent camping ground.
The Saltmarsh is significant and you do not need to venture into the marshland. A glove is recommended.
The river looks impressively wide (unlike Blind Creek) with a rowing regatta held on New Year's Day, but if you continue for another 300 metres down to the river mouth you will see that the river barely trickles out to sea adjacent to the Anglesea Surf Beach. In summer this path has many passing muggles, so having identifed GZ you will need to select a non-peak time to strike.
The cache is a plastic container within a box with room for some very small swaps only. Bring your own pen.
