Geocache Description:

A cache placed near to the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve, close to the same place where I found one of the rhinos from the 'Find the Rhino' competition, in December 2013.

I decided to place a cache here, as it is such a peaceful area, and you can get an idea of where I found the Rhino from the "Find the Rhino" competition.

Take a drive on the Jonkershoek Road, and turn right at the waypoint provided. Continue across the bridge, and park somewhere close to GZ. The cache should make for an easy find. Be careful of muggles that are walking or riding past.

10 Facts about Rhinos:

  4. Rhinos make their own sun block by wallowing in mud and letting it dry.
  5. Black rhinos are very aggressive and will charge easily due to their poor eyesight.
  6. A group of rhinos is called a crash.
  7. The black rhino can live up to five days without water.
  8. Rhino horns are not made of bone, but of keratin, the same material found in your hair and fingernails.
  9. Rhinos have lived on earth for 50 million years.
  10. The black rhino has a prehensile upper lip that allows it to feed on trees and shrubs
