Geocache Description:

A beautiful view point on Western Cruit Island.

Cruit Island in Western Donegal is an idyllic island conected to mainland Donegal by a road bridge. The island is one of the most developed rock climbing locations in Ireland on its granite sea cliffs. Between the sea cliffs are a collection of Caribbean Style sandy beaches on each one solitude is almost guaranteed.

As an added bonus Cruit Island sits far out in the Donegal Rainshadow and is one of the driest places in Ireland.

This cache takes you to one of the finest views on the island with Aranmore Island to the south, Owey Island to the west and the Rosses in all other directions.

The cache is a medium box containing a pencil, sharpener and a notepad.
