This aarea abounds with history. Sergeant Maginnity who was shot by bushranger Dan Morgan also known as Mad Dog Morgan has many descendents living in the Valley. Although Tooma can hardly be clled a township the store, now a private residence and the hotel still remain. The store indicates grander times in Tooma. This is a beautiful place and well worth a visit - you might even catch a trout in the nearby creeks. Great place for a picnic.
