Geocache Description:

Welcome to the "Hub-City Spartanburg Geotrail!"

The trail consists of 25 caches within the city limits of Spartanburg.
These caches are DAYLIGHT ONLY!

This geocache is NOT hidden at the posted coordinates!

However, it *is* hidden at the Chapman Cultural Center grounds. In order to find this geocache, you first must do some research and a little simple math.

Refer to the following puzzle:

N 34° 57.XXX
W 081° 55.YYY

Your listed coordinates will take you to excellent parking, as well asconveniant to the NORTH-WEST corner of the Zimmerli Plaza. Step over to Stage 1. Here you will find an interesting feature from Spartanburg's past. Read the plaque at the small artifact. Find the date that the building in which this artifact was built and subtract *1578*. The result should be a three digit number that you will put in the XXX of the North coordinates.

Now, turn towards and walk to the NORTH-EAST corner of the plaza to Stage 2 and look for the dated cornerstone of the theater. Subtract *1203* from the date. The result should be a three digit number that you will place in the YYY of the West coordinates.

Be cautious as you proceed to the final location, as there may be many eyes on you. Also, if you have little cachers with you, make sure you hold their hands as they cross the street!
