Maker Madness - Burnaby Event Cache

Finding a great geocache can make for an awe-inspiring adventure, but those adventures do not magically appear on their own. They are concocted inside the brilliant mind of a Geocache Maker. This crazy thing we call geocaching would simply not exist without the people who channel their creativity and innovative spirit into making great experiences for others.

From March 28 – April 7, geocachers around the world will join together to celebrate the people in their community who make geocaching possible. Geocaching.com calls this celebration Maker Madness.

Anyone who logs an “Attended” at a registered Maker Madness event will earn a Maker Madness souvenir.

CALLING ALL MAKERS
If you are interested in bringing something to show, please drop us a line - We would love to be able to tell people what to expect!

NOMINATIONS
Know a great Geocache Maker? Send your nominations in to us, and we will invite them to display a cache or two at the event!

FORMAT
The format will be a social gathering with some "displays" available. There may be some 10 minute organized presentations depending on the topics we collect. Please check back to this page for updates.

• Demo of the new "Proximity to other geocaches" feature on Geocaching.com to assist with new Geocache placement
• Team K1W1 and KNL_caching will have a selection of Arduino (the 'Duinos) geocaches available for hands on use

• We are hoping cache owners will bring some of their top caches to show off - please bring a cache for all to see!
• Trackable trading
• Prizes!

Bring your most creative caches (or photos), your "trail label" (AKA other Signature Items) tradeable items and geocoin masterpieces to show off or trade.
