Donnie, Danny, Jordan, Jon and Joe,
Five kids from Boston thrown together and to the top they would go.
New Kids on the Block, or NKOTB, was their name,
Singing and dancing their way into girls hearts was their game.
When I was eleven I was one of those smitten girls too,
There was something about one of those New Kids and I pledged my love true.
Jordan's poster hung in my locker all through Junior High,
But the following years brought lots of new crushes so to Jordan I said goodbye.
The New Kids will always have a special place in my heart,
They may have been cheesy but in my childhood they played a part.
Life gives us lots of memories, some happy and some sad,
They shape us into the people we are today and that ain't bad.
