Eye-Clinic
The building housing today the Athens Eye-Clinic is a rare sample of a romantic edifice of the Byzantine style in Greece. The central building consists of a basement a ground-floor (first phase, 1847-1854) and a chamber floor (second phase, 1869). The outpatients department is located in the ground-floor (1914-1916).
The Eye-Clinic was built by the architect Hans Cristian Hansen and later on, the architect Lyssandros Kaftatzoglou proceeded with some adjustments, like the one in the entrance which used to be covered by an arcade with two columns. In 1869, the architect Gerasimos Metaxas, expanded the northern side to 6,50 meters and added one floor. In 1914-1916, the Sina Street building (outpatients' department) was constructed by the engineer Aristides Balanos.
On1962 a ministerial decree, declared the main and the auxiliary buildings of Sina Street as a work of art !!!
The cache
The cache is a magnetic canister on the railings and contains the geocaching declaration sheet and the logbook. No pen inside.

Οφθαλμιατρείο Αθηνών
Το κτήριο που στεγάζει σήμερα το Οφθαλμιατρείο Αθηνών είναι ένα σπάνιο δείγμα ρομαντικού οικοδομήματος βυζαντινού ρυθμού στην χώρα μας. Το κεντρικό κτήριο αποτελείται από το υπόγειο και το ισόγειο (πρώτη φάση 1847-1854) και τον όροφο με δώμα (δεύτερη φάση 1869). Το κτήριο των εξωτερικών ιατρείων είναι ισόγειο (1914-16).
΄Εργο του αρχιτέκτονα Hans Cristian Hansen. Ο αρχιτέκτονας Λύσσανδρος Καυτατζόγλου έκανε μερικές τροποποιήσεις όπως στην είσοδο που είχε πρόπυλο με δύο κολώνες. Το 1869 ο αρχιτέκτονας Γεράσιμος Μεταξάς έκανε την προσθήκη κατ' επέκταση κατά 6,50 μ. προς την βόρεια πλευρά καθώς και την προσθήκη του ορόφου. Το 1914-16 κτίσθηκε το προς την οδό Σίνα ευρισκόμενο κτήριο των εξωτερικών ιατρείων από τον μηχανικό Αριστείδη Μπαλάνο.
Έχει κηρυχθεί ως έργο τέχνης !!!
Η κρύπτη
Η κρύπτη είναι ένα μικρό μαγνητικό κουτί, στα κάγκελα και περιέχει το logbook και την δήλωση για το geocaching. Δεν έχει στυλό.
