This is a regular geocache placed with permission within the safety zone at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center (CEWC). The 6,400-acre Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, offers a variety of activities and programs.
CEWC offers geocaches located along several roads or hiking trails; the red trail, the blue trail and the yellow trail. Parking is found at two different locations and several trail heads begin at each parking area. One parking area is at the Charlie Elliot Visitor’s Center, another at the other at the Brooke Ager Discovery Center and a parking area at this cache location. All visitors to CEWC who are not part of Conference Center group need to have a GORP pass or a WMA license which can be purchased here. Be sure to check out the Charlie Elliott Visitor’s Center while you are here.
More information about CEWC can be found at (visit link)
The Charlie Elliott Astronomy group meets here once a month. All are welcome to attend their programs. On clear nights they usually have several telescopes set up for viewing the night sky. This is a well camouflaged micro.
