GEO-ART @ NIGHT! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

GR8Caches: This one needed a refresh and it is just so far away from home. I am hoping to relocate it soon nearer to home as a new cache. Thanks to all who visited and enjoyed this very creative and different night cache. It has had some really good logs over the years. I removed everything even the tacks.

Geocache Description:

This is a night cache so the cache is not at the posted coordinates. Go to the posted coordinates and look for a yellow/orange reflector. When you see 2 of the yellow/orange together that indicates a turn. Follow those reflectors for a short time until you see red reflectors. Once at the red reflectors you are on your own. When done the best way back to the trail is another set of red reflectors. Remember you will need a good flashlight and something to sign the cache log with. Parking coordinates have been provided. The walk to the cache and back to parking is about 1 mile. During parts of the year the gate is open and if you want you can drive to the cache. Just be sure to have the right vehicle to do this with. If you want to have the most fun, I would strongly encourage the hike in the dark.

I really hope you enjoy this cache as much as we enjoyed creating it. If you don't know us, we love geocaching and two of our favorite things are night caches and geoart. This area of Sleepy Creek is home to some of the best night caches you will ever find. In fact you should be able to find about 5 night caches in this area. This makes the 3rd night cache we placed and it is our best one so far. Sleepy Creek is home to our Take Me Home Country Roads geoart as well. With this cache we hope you agree that we have combined night caching with GEO-ART.

Words of Caution: This is not meant to scare you off but to remind you that this area is pretty wild and wonderful. In the summer rattlers have been spotted on this trail at night so be mindful of following the tacks but also keeping watch of where you are stepping. There are also some pretty scary four legged creatures roaming these parts. (I am not sure about the 2 legged Big Foot but some swear he is up here too.)

A proud member of GEOCACHERS for a NIGHT Caching ICON! We want the ICON! Give us the ICON!
