Kids who ski here greatly enjoy the kids' ski features such as Ruby's Tail and Bucky's Front Yard. In fact they enjoy them so much they often make their own! Kids love dragging their parents through any opening in the trees they can find. Summer mountain biking trails provide excellent source of these additional kids tree trails.
A section of the Pipeline mountain biking trail which parallels the Deer Hollow ski trail is a perfect example. In keeping with the "Bucky" theme this is unofficially Bucky's Pipeline in the winter. Accessed just after the bridge down trail from the St. Regis, the Pipeline is a fun little duck through the woods. I will admit it's easier in the summer on a bike or hiking in any season. There are just a few little bumps the smallest skiers have trouble getting over. Parents you might want to be behind your kids on the trail so you can push if they get stuck. Also beware of bare spots when the snow is low.
Tree coverage makes GPS reception spotty. Once you are within 50 feet of the cache the hiding spot is pretty obvious even if the cache is out of sight. The cache is on the uphill side of the Pipeline trail. Check the hint for more details if you need it. This is intended to be a kid friendly easy cache.
