In spite of the proximity of a fairly busy road, this little green space and riverside walk is a nice spot in spite of the slightly decrepit state of the paving. An attempt of the regular attempts at 'promenade' by the local council! Perhaps the new housing development will leave to some repairs. In any case it's a peaceful alternative to the pavement at the roadside. It was awash with daffodils on the day I placed the cache!
Can be a popular spot for muggle youth on a sunny day but is often completly empty.
The aforementioned busy road is "New Cut" - reflecting the fact that the river was diverted into its present course in the mid 1800s to facilitate transport by water to and from the enormous copperworks at Landore. The original course took it past the base of the old castle, more or less following the line of the street now known as The Strand, which was the dockside area.
There' no obvious parking place - Sainsbury's or Parc Tawe are probably closest.
