This cache is located on the Timberview Trail of the El Corte De Madera Creek open space preserve. There are more then 30 miles of multi-use trails on this 2,847 acre Preserve. This Preserve is very popular with bicyclists, so beware when hiking. I enjoyed the calm quiet this preserve provided. It is highly wooded and GPS can bounce around a lot.
A lot of the other caches in the area give you all kinds of information on the area and history, so I won't leave you with a long lesson as you will need your time to search for this cache. The cache is a camo covered pill bottle. You do not have to leave the trail at all to find the cache, but that doesn't mean it is an easy one to find. While walking along the trail, I saw many trees growing up out of the side of the trail, I loved the ability to see how their roots grow down around rocks and other obstacles. To see burls forming and moss coverings. The redwoods are just amazingly beautiful.
